The City of Palmetto is urging residents to sign up for its new Everbridge Emergency Notification Service to continue receiving important alerts about emergencies and community conditions.
The city has transitioned from CodeRED to Everbridge as its emergency notification system. Residents who previously registered with CodeRED will need to register with Everbridge to continue receiving notifications, according to information released by the city.
Everbridge allows the city to send timely alerts by phone, text message and email. Notifications may include information about emergencies, severe weather, road closures, crime advisories, service disruptions and other critical situations affecting the Palmetto community.
City officials are encouraging residents to register and ensure their contact information is current so they can receive notifications through their preferred communication methods.
The change is effective immediately, and CodeRED has been discontinued as the city’s notification service.
Residents can register for the Everbridge system online through the city’s enrollment page.
