City Services Relocate as LECOM Park Expansion and City Park Project Move Forward
City operations are shifting locations as part of ongoing improvements tied to the expansion of LECOM Park and the development of the new City Park area.
The city’s Landscaping and Grounds Division has temporarily relocated to the former Fire Station 2 on 7th Avenue East. The move is part of a broader transition designed to accommodate construction and redevelopment efforts in the surrounding area.
At the same time, Solid Waste crews are vacating their current facilities near LECOM Park to clear space for the City Park project and continued upgrades to the historic baseball complex. The expansion aims to enhance recreational amenities, increase capacity, and support long-term community growth.
City officials describe the coordinated relocations as a necessary step to advance multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that essential services continue uninterrupted as construction progresses.
The changes mark another phase in the city’s ongoing investment in public spaces and infrastructure, with additional updates expected as work continues on both the park expansion and supporting facilities.
