Clerk’s Community Shred Day Set for November 15 in Bradenton
The Clerk’s Community Shred Day will return Saturday, November 15, offering residents a free and secure way to dispose of personal documents and hard drives. The event will run from 9 to 11 a.m., or until the shred truck reaches capacity, in the parking lot of Manatee Technical College’s main campus at 6305 State Road 70 East.
Designed to help prevent identity theft and safeguard sensitive information, the drive-thru event is open to residential customers only, with no commercial or business services accepted. Each vehicle may bring up to two boxes, the size of a standard Bankers Box, though documents can arrive in any container. Boxes should not be taped shut, and bags should not be knotted before arrival.
Paper clips, staples, rubber bands, labels, and file tabs do not need to be removed prior to shredding. In addition to paper, hard drives will be accepted for on-site destruction. Electronics will not be accepted for recycling, and no drop-offs will be allowed. All participants must remain in their vehicles while staff or volunteers collect the items for secure destruction.
No registration is required. Full event details are available on the Clerk’s official website.
