The community is invited to help celebrate a remarkable milestone as World War II Marine veteran Tom Lindsay turns 100 years old. A special drive-by birthday celebration will take place on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Terra Ceia Bay Country Club in Palmetto.
Friends, family, neighbors, and community members are encouraged to participate by driving past the celebration, honking their horns, waving, and showing their appreciation for Lindsay’s military service and a century of life.
Lindsay served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II, making his 100th birthday an opportunity to recognize both his personal milestone and his place among the generation of Americans who served during one of the most significant periods in the nation’s history.
The celebration will be held at Terra Ceia Bay Country Club, located at 2802 Terra Ceia Bay Boulevard in Palmetto.
Organizers hope to see a strong community turnout to honor Lindsay and make his milestone birthday memorable. Residents of all ages are welcome to join the drive-by tribute and help recognize a local veteran who has reached an extraordinary milestone.
The event offers Manatee County residents an opportunity to express gratitude to a World War II veteran while celebrating his 100 years of life.
