Community Run Club Launches at The Center on Anna Maria Island
A new monthly fitness and wellness gathering is set to begin on Anna Maria Island as the Community Run Club launches at The Center, inviting residents to come together for movement, mindfulness, and connection.
The free event will take place on the last Sunday of each month, with the first run scheduled for Sunday, March 29, at 8:30 a.m. Participants of all fitness levels are encouraged to attend, with a welcoming atmosphere designed to focus on community rather than competition.
The event features a three-mile group run open to all paces, followed by a return to The Center for optional wellness activities. Participants can take part in a guided cold plunge experience for $20, which includes a three- to five-minute immersion, along with guided breathwork, meditation, and an open circle for communal sharing.
Organizers emphasize that the run club is about more than physical activity. The initiative aims to create a supportive space where individuals can challenge themselves, connect with others, and embrace personal growth through shared experiences.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a towel, swimsuit, and water bottle to fully participate in the post-run activities.
The Community Run Club reflects a growing trend of combining fitness with mental wellness and social connection, offering a unique opportunity for locals to engage in both physical and emotional well-being in a scenic coastal setting.
