Turning Points is helping Manatee County families navigate financial hardships and everyday challenges through its Connected Manatee Program, which provides assistance and connections to community resources before difficulties become crises.
The program serves families connected to Lincoln Memorial Middle School, Palmetto Elementary, Tillman Elementary, Blackburn Elementary, and Palm View K-8, as well as families of School District of Manatee County employees.
Available services may include assistance with Medicaid and SNAP benefits, mortgage and rental support, healthcare resources, unemployment assistance, and referrals to additional community services.
The program is designed to help families access resources, address immediate needs, and maintain stability during challenging times.
Services are available Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Family Support Center, located at 400 1st Avenue East, Building 5, in Palmetto. Appointments are encouraged, although walk-ins are welcome when availability permits.
Families seeking assistance can learn more or get started by visiting tpmanatee.org/connectedmanatee or calling 941-209-7498.
