Manatee County Downtown Library Branch to Reopen February 3, 2025
MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Jan. 23, 2025) – Manatee County Public Library is thrilled to announce the much-anticipated reopening of the Central Library on February 3, 2025. The library has been closed since sustaining significant damage during recent hurricanes, and extensive repairs and improvements are underway and nearing completion.

Manatee School for the Arts is celebrating a groundbreaking achievement: Student Ben McRee has secured the title of US Academic Esports League East Coast Champion in Super Smash Bros. In the school’s inaugural year of esports competition, McRee’s outstanding performance has brought home the institution's first-ever championship title.

Manatee County is committed to supporting its veteran community through the Manatee Moves transportation service. Operating Monday through Saturday from 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., this service provides veterans with reliable and accessible transportation throughout the county.
