Deadline Approaches to Claim More Than $64,000 in Unclaimed Funds from Manatee County Clerk
Time is running out for Manatee County residents and vendors to collect nearly $65,000 in unclaimed funds currently held by the Manatee Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller.
As of Monday, July 21, the Clerk’s Office reported holding $64,914.35 in unclaimed checks, including 818 payments related to jury duty, court fee refunds, vendor invoices, and other court-related services.
Florida law mandates that these funds must be claimed by September 1, 2025, or they will be permanently forfeited.
The Clerk’s Office urges individuals and businesses to review the list of unclaimed funds available on its official website at www.ManateeClerk.com. The process to claim owed funds is simple and can be initiated by contacting the Clerk’s Accounting Division via email at clerkaccounting@manateeclerk.com or by phone at (941) 749-1800.
With thousands potentially eligible for reimbursement, officials encourage all residents to take a few moments to check the list and recover any money that may be rightfully theirs.
