Deputies Wrestle Alligator Near Parrish Community High School, Relocate It Safely
Manatee County deputies responded to an unusual call this week when an alligator was spotted on Parrish Community High School grounds.
According to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, the reptile had wandered dangerously close to campus, prompting a swift response from law enforcement. Body camera footage captured the deputies’ efforts as they carefully wrestled the gator into submission.
Despite some resistance from the strong and feisty animal, deputies secured the alligator and loaded it into the back of a truck. It was later relocated to a more appropriate habitat far from the school.
The relocation concluded with the alligator slipping calmly back into the water.
No injuries were reported, and the Sheriff’s Office praised the deputies’ quick thinking and teamwork in ensuring the safety of both students and the alligator.
