Detwiler’s Farm Market to Open Seventh Store in East Manatee County
Detwiler’s Farm Market is expanding its footprint in Manatee County with plans to open a new 43,000-square-foot store along State Road 64. The family-owned grocer will move into Braden River Plaza at 4502 E. State Road 64, filling a space previously occupied by Office Depot and, before that, a Winn-Dixie supermarket.
The east Manatee location will become the seventh store for Detwiler’s, adding to its growing presence across the region. The company currently operates markets on 53rd Avenue West in Bradenton, U.S. 301 in Palmetto, Palmer Boulevard in east Sarasota, Clark Road in south Sarasota, the U.S. 41 Bypass in Venice, and another location in Sarasota County.
The upcoming store continues Detwiler’s strategy of opening large, full-service markets in high-traffic corridors. The Braden River Plaza space provides access to a rapidly growing residential area along State Road 64, where demand for grocery options has increased in tandem with new development.
The opening date for the new Detwiler’s location has not yet been announced, but preparations are underway to transform the former office-supply space into the company’s signature farm-market-style store.
