DNA Evidence Leads to Charges in Saint Stephen’s Episcopal School Break-In
A 43-year-old man has been charged in connection with a break-in at Saint Stephen’s Episcopal School after investigators linked him to the crime using DNA evidence.
Authorities say Joshua Wilbar was identified as the suspect following a burglary that occurred on the school’s campus on Sunday, November 2, 2025. During the incident, both a concession stand and a maintenance shed were broken into.
Security video captured Wilbar on the school grounds the same day the burglaries took place. Investigators later collected DNA evidence from items left at the scene, which ultimately matched Wilbar and connected him to the break-in.
Wilbar is currently in custody on unrelated burglary charges. The new charge related to the school burglary was filed after the DNA analysis confirmed his presence at the scene.
The investigation into the incident was conducted by local law enforcement, who used a combination of surveillance footage and forensic evidence to identify the suspect.
