Drill Shaft Work to Begin Oct. 20 Near Players Drive and Lorraine Road, Temporary Lane Closures Planned
Manatee County officials have announced upcoming drill shaft work scheduled to begin the week of October 20 near the Players Drive and Lorraine Road roundabout project area. The work is expected to take several weeks to complete.
To accommodate construction activities, daily lane closures will occur between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., a schedule designed to minimize impacts during peak traffic hours. According to project updates, only one entrance—either Country Club East or Country Club West—will be affected at a time. During these closures, one lane in and one lane out will remain open, while the other set of lanes at that entrance will be temporarily closed.
Pedestrian and bicycle access will remain open throughout the project. Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time and to use caution when traveling through the work zone.
The project team thanked residents for their patience and cooperation as crews complete this phase of the infrastructure improvements.
