Early Learning Coalition of Manatee Awarded $108,000 Grant to Expand Early Literacy Programs
The Early Learning Coalition of Manatee has been awarded a $108,000 grant from Impact100 SRQ Sarasota & Manatee Counties, providing significant support for early literacy initiatives serving young children and families across the community.
The funding will strengthen the coalition’s ReadingPals program and support the launch of a new initiative, Storytimers for 3-year-olds. The expanded programming is designed to reach children during a critical stage of language development, when vocabulary, comprehension, and confidence are rapidly developing.
Early Learning Coalition leaders said the investment will allow them to extend literacy support earlier, helping children build foundational skills that are closely tied to long-term academic success. By focusing on children as young as three, the coalition aims to reinforce positive learning experiences at a time when early exposure to books and storytelling can have lasting impacts.
Impact100 SRQ is a collective of women philanthropists who pool resources to make high-impact grants to local nonprofit organizations. Their support reflects a shared commitment to creating measurable, community-wide change through strategic investment.
With this grant, the Early Learning Coalition of Manatee plans to reach more children and families, furthering its mission to promote school readiness and support strong educational outcomes from the earliest years.
