Earth Day Manatee Returns This Saturday with Community Cleanup and Volunteer Opportunities
Manatee County residents are invited to participate in Earth Day Manatee this Saturday, April 18, as part of a community-wide effort focused on environmental stewardship and local beautification. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Riverfront, bringing together volunteers, families, and community partners for a morning of hands-on impact.
Organized by Keep Manatee Beautiful, the annual event encourages participants to give back through activities such as shoreline and neighborhood cleanups, tree planting, and other sustainability-focused projects. The initiative highlights the importance of preserving natural spaces while fostering a sense of community pride and responsibility.
Earth Day Manatee serves as both a celebration of the environment and a call to action, offering residents an opportunity to contribute to cleaner public spaces and a healthier local ecosystem. Organizers emphasize that even small efforts can lead to meaningful, long-term improvements across the county.
Volunteers are still needed to support the event, and community members of all ages are encouraged to participate. Those interested in joining can register online at www.manateebeautiful.com/edm.
