East Manatee Firefighters to Host 11th Annual Sporting Clay Shoot Fundraiser
The East Manatee Firefighters’ Benevolent Association will host its 11th annual Sporting Clay Shoot fundraiser on Saturday, February 28, 2026, bringing together community members, businesses, and supporters for a day of competition and fundraising in support of local firefighters and their families.
The event will take place at Sarasota Trap, Skeet, & Clays, located at 7730 Target Trail in Nokomis. Registration begins at 8 a.m., with shooting starting at 9 a.m. Teams of four will compete in a 100-target sporting clay course, with individual shooters paired as needed. Shot size is limited to 7.5 and smaller, and ammunition will be available for purchase on site.
A donation of $100 per participant includes clays, a commemorative T-shirt, and a meal ticket. Lunch will follow the shoot and feature barbecue from Mission BBQ, along with a raffle and auction offering a variety of prizes.
Organizers note that the event has reached capacity for the past 4 years, and participation is expected to fill up again in 2026. Proceeds from the fundraiser benefit firefighters and their families during times of need.
Multiple sponsorship levels are available, ranging from sign sponsorships to gold-level packages, with recognition provided through event signage and materials. Businesses and individuals are encouraged to review the sponsor listings featured on the event flyer and support those companies that continue to back local firefighters.
Those interested in registering a team or learning more can find contact details, including the association’s email and mailing address, on the event flyer. Team names may be submitted via email, and organizers will follow up with additional details once they are received.
