Easterseals Ranch Seeks Volunteers to Support Life-Changing Equine Therapy Programs
Easterseals Ranch is inviting community members to join its volunteer team and make a meaningful impact through its equine therapy programs. Volunteers are needed to assist with hippotherapy, equine-assisted learning, and programs designed for veterans and individuals with disabilities. Opportunities include helping during therapy sessions, caring for therapy horses, and maintaining the barn and surrounding grounds.
No previous horse experience is required—Easterseals provides all the necessary training to ensure volunteers can participate safely and confidently. The organization emphasizes that a willingness to learn and a compassionate heart are the most essential qualities volunteers can bring.
Easterseals’ equine therapy program has a long history of using the healing power of horses to improve strength, balance, communication, and emotional well-being for children and adults with physical and developmental challenges. Over the years, the Ranch has expanded its services to include specialized sessions for veterans, creating a supportive environment that promotes recovery, connection, and confidence.
The program is part of Easterseals Southwest Florida’s broader mission to empower individuals with disabilities to live, learn, work, and play to their fullest potential.
