Education Policy and Charter Schools to Be Discussed on “Talk of the Town” at Fogartyville
The upcoming edition of WSLR’s “Talk of the Town” will focus on the state of public education and Florida’s Schools of Hope charter school initiative. The live news roundtable will take place Saturday, November 8, at 11 a.m. at the Fogartyville Community Media and Arts Center.
Panelists include Sarasota County Schools Superintendent Terry Connor, Manatee County School Board member Heather Felton, and Florida Policy Institute’s Chief Strategy Officer Holly Bullard, who is also a parent at Wilkinson Elementary School.
Hosted by journalist and author Carrie Seidman, “Talk of the Town” is a monthly program that brings together policymakers, educators, and analysts to discuss pressing local issues. Each episode features a mix of conversation, debate, and audience interaction, offering insight into topics that shape the Suncoast community.
Attendance at the event is free, with tickets available at wslr.org. The program will be broadcast live on WSLR radio and livestreamed on YouTube via the Fogartyville Community Media channel.
