Elderly Fraud: “Awareness, Prevention, and Protection”
Join us for an important discussion on the rising threat of elder fraud and how we can protect our aging population from financial scams, identity theft, and exploitation. According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, adults aged 60 and over lost over $3.4 billion in fraud during 2023 — an increase of approximately 11 % from the previous year. Sadly, many of these crimes go unreported. Studies show that about 1 in 18 older adults (aged 60 +) living independently fall victim to fraud each year.
