Evening Market Debut in Palmetto to Feature “Grease” Movie Night and Vendor Opportunities
Palmetto Downtown Main Street is preparing to launch its first evening farmer’s market on May 23, 2026, bringing a new after-hours experience to the heart of downtown. The event will begin at 5 p.m. at Sutton Park, offering a blend of local shopping, entertainment, and community engagement designed to attract families, visitors, and residents for a night under the lights.
The market will feature a variety of vendors, including fresh produce providers, handmade and artisan goods, local makers, specialty food vendors, food trucks, and nonprofit organizations. Organizers are actively seeking participants to help create a vibrant and diverse marketplace atmosphere for the inaugural event.
In addition to shopping and dining, the evening will include a themed outdoor movie screening of Grease, encouraging attendees to dress in nostalgic attire inspired by the iconic film. Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the movie, which is scheduled to begin at approximately 7:45 p.m., following the market portion of the evening.
The event aims to transform the traditional daytime market into a lively nighttime gathering, fostering connection and community while highlighting local businesses and organizations. Organizers see the launch as an opportunity to create a recurring destination event that supports downtown revitalization and offers new experiences for the Palmetto community.
Vendor registration is currently open for those interested in participating in the inaugural evening market.
