Fall Prevention and Wellness Expo Set for January 28 at State College of Florida
The Manatee County Falls Prevention Coalition will host the 2026 Fall Prevention and Wellness EXPO on Wednesday, January 28, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Library and Learning Center at the State College of Florida, located at 5840 26th St. West in Bradenton.
The free community event is designed to promote health, safety, and independence, particularly for older adults and caregivers. Attendees can expect a full morning of resources, interactive health screenings, educational opportunities, and exhibits focused on fall prevention and overall wellness. The EXPO will also feature prizes and access to local organizations offering tools and information to support healthy aging.
The event is hosted by the Manatee County Falls Prevention Coalition in collaboration with community partners and safety professionals, including Fire Inspector Teri Owens. Organizers say the EXPO is an opportunity for residents to learn practical strategies to reduce fall risks while connecting with local wellness resources in one convenient setting.
Pre-registration is encouraged and can be completed by scanning the QR code on the event flyer. For additional information, residents may call 941-567-2851.
