Fatal Crash on U.S. 41 in Bradenton Claims Life of 21-Year-Old Woman
A 21-year-old woman from Ruskin was killed Tuesday evening following a crash involving a semi-trailer on U.S. 41, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred shortly before 5:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of U.S. 41 near the intersection with Scale Avenue. Authorities reported that the woman was driving a Hyundai northbound in the right lane behind a semi-trailer.
As traffic approached a railroad crossing, the semi came to a stop. Investigators said a third, unidentified vehicle traveling behind the semi suddenly changed lanes to the left to avoid stopping.
