Fatal Hit-and-Run Investigation Underway

The Bradenton Police Department's Traffic Unit is currently investigating a fatal hit-and-run incident that took place around 11:25 p.m. on Saturday in the 1000 block of 14th St. W.

A 36-year-old man was riding his bike across 14th St. when he was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound. Tragically, the driver did not stop and left the scene. At this time, investigators have been unable to identify any witnesses who can provide details about the make or model of the vehicle involved in the collision.
