FDOT to Host Public Meeting on U.S. 41 Intersection Improvements in Palmetto
The Florida Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting on Thursday, February 26, 2026, to discuss proposed intersection improvements along U.S. 41 from south of Dock Street to Piney Point Road in Palmetto.
The meeting will provide residents, business owners and commuters an opportunity to learn more about the project, review materials and provide feedback.
An in-person session is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. at the SeaPort Manatee International Center, located at 1905 Intermodal Circle in Palmetto. Identification will not be required to attend. Officials advise that anyone who is not feeling well should refrain from attending in person.
A virtual option will also be available from 6 to 7 p.m. Participants may join from a computer, tablet or mobile device. Advance registration is required at fdot.cc/US-41-at-Piney-Point. After registering, attendees will receive a confirmation email with instructions for accessing the online meeting. Internet Explorer cannot be used to register for or attend the webinar.
