Federal Indictment Issued Against Bradenton Resident on Charges of Child Exploitation
A federal indictment has been returned against 35-year-old Pete Supan, a Bradenton, Florida resident on charges of coercion and enticement of a minor for sexual activity and production of child sexual abuse material. The individual could face a maximum life sentence in federal prison if convicted.
The indictment alleges that the accused coerced and enticed a minor to engage in sexual activity and participated in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of creating visual depictions. The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office conducted the investigation. The U.S. Attorney’s Office is prosecuting the case.
This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse. The initiative focuses on locating, apprehending, and prosecuting individuals who exploit children while working to identify and rescue victims.
