First-Ever Kringles & Kayaks: Rowing Children Home Fundraiser Launches November 8 at Robinson Preserve
A new holiday tradition is set to make a splash in Manatee County. The first-ever Kringles & Kayaks: Rowing Children Home Fundraiser will debut on Friday, November 8, at Robinson Preserve, blending holiday cheer with community giving to support families experiencing homelessness.
Hosted by The Salvation Army of Manatee County, the inaugural event invites participants to decorate their kayaks, don festive attire, and paddle through the scenic blueways of Robinson Preserve—all to raise funds that help local families find stability and hope. The day promises a fun, family-friendly atmosphere filled with holiday spirit, camaraderie, and the joy of giving back.
Those who prefer to stay on shore can still join the effort by donating online at give.salvationarmyflorida.org. All proceeds benefit The Salvation Army’s local programs, which provide emergency shelter, meals, and long-term support for individuals and families working to overcome homelessness.
The event marks an exciting new chapter for The Salvation Army of Manatee County, which has served the community for more than nine decades. Since its establishment in the 1930s, the organization has been a trusted lifeline for residents in crisis—offering housing assistance, youth outreach, disaster recovery, and vital social services through its Bradenton Corps Community Center.
By launching Kringles & Kayaks, the organization hopes to build a festive annual tradition that unites residents and businesses under a shared mission of compassion.
