Florida Firefighter Featured in 2026 Australian Firefighters Calendar Benefiting Global Causes
The 2026 Australian Firefighters Calendar is officially available, and this year’s edition comes with a local connection. Gavinn Greeman, a firefighter with the North River Fire Department in Palmetto, is among the featured participants, appearing in the calendar’s popular “Cat Calendar” edition.
The annual project, known for pairing shirtless firefighters with adorable animals, has become a global fundraising force. Though not a formal charity itself, the Australian Firefighters Calendar has helped raise millions of dollars for organizations in need since its launch more than three decades ago.
For 2026, donations from calendar sales supported the Pasadena Humane Society after the Los Angeles wildfires and assisted the Kerr County Relief Fund in Texas following catastrophic flooding. Since 1993, the calendar initiative has contributed over $3.5 million to various causes worldwide.
Greeman’s inclusion highlights a bit of Florida pride in an international effort that continues to bring awareness and assistance to communities facing hardship.
Orders for the 2026 calendar are now open, and more information is available through the Australian Firefighters Calendar website.
