Florida Highway Patrol Seeks Driver in Fatal Bradenton Hit-and-Run on U.S. 301
In the early hours of the morning, a fatal hit-and-run incident on U.S. 301 in Bradenton has left Florida Highway Patrol troopers searching for the driver involved. Around 2:30 a.m., at the intersection of U.S. 301 and 44th Avenue East, a man was struck and killed by a vehicle traveling southbound.
According to authorities, the pedestrian was standing in the roadway when a vehicle, possibly a white Nissan, collided with him. Tragically, the man died at the scene. The driver responsible for the initial impact fled immediately following the collision, and their identity and whereabouts remain unknown.
In the aftermath, a second wave of vehicles—an SUV and a motorcycle—also struck the pedestrian as he lay in the roadway. Both drivers remained on the scene to assist and cooperate with authorities.
The Florida Highway Patrol is urging anyone with information regarding the hit-and-run driver or the vehicle, believed to be a white-colored Nissan, to come forward. Tips can be reported by contacting the FHP or through Crime Stoppers.
