Florida Suncoast Safe Kids Day to Bring Family-Focused Safety Event to University Town Center
A free, family-friendly safety event designed to educate and engage children and families will take place on Friday, April 3, 2026, at The Mall at University Town Center in Sarasota. The event, Florida Suncoast Safe Kids Day, is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Dillard’s Courtyard and will feature a variety of interactive activities and safety demonstrations.
The event will focus on promoting safety for children of all ages, from infants through teens, by offering hands-on learning experiences and educational resources. Families can participate in games and activities while learning important safety practices in a fun and engaging environment.
Key safety topics will include water safety, car seat safety, bicycle and pedestrian safety, sports safety, and home safety. The event is designed to teach these concepts through play, helping children better understand how to stay safe in everyday situations.
Local agencies, including fire departments, law enforcement, hospitals, and community organizations, will be on site to provide information and connect with families. Giveaways and additional resources will also be available to attendees.
The event will be held at 140 University Town Center Drive in Sarasota and is open to the public at no cost.
