“These events offer guests an opportunity to enjoy a symbolic meal of soup and bread, demonstrating that, together, we can fill the empty bowls of our neighbors in need,” said Maribeth Phillips, President & CEO of Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee. “With the recent pause on funding for food programs, the needs are higher than ever before. These events will bring people together to raise critical funds for The Food Bank of Manatee,” she added.

The Food Bank of Manatee is the largest hunger-relief organization and only food bank based in Manatee County. The Food Bank of Manatee provides food to 95+ local social service agencies, food pantries, and soup kitchens, while also providing direct distributions for the community during emergencies.
