Former Team Success Teacher Arrested on Multiple Molestation Charges Involving Young Students
A former elementary school teacher at Team Success Charter School in Bradenton has been arrested following multiple allegations of inappropriate contact with students.
Richard Silberman faces three counts of lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim under the age of 12 and two counts of battery, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation began on April 4, when a student reported that Silberman had touched the clothing of a 10-year-old and had made similar advances previously.
Team Success officials removed Silberman from the classroom shortly after the first allegations surfaced. More students came forward with similar accusations in the following weeks, prompting an expanded investigation.
Deputies arrested Silberman on Wednesday. Jail records indicate he is currently being held without bond.
The case remains under investigation by the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
