Four Teens Face Felony Charges for Vandalizing Public Bathroom in Bradenton
Four teenagers are facing felony criminal mischief charges after causing extensive damage to a public restroom at Rossi Park on the Riverwalk. Authorities estimate the destruction to be at least $5,000.
The incident occurred on the evening of January 10, 2025, around 9 p.m. Police responded to the park after a witness reported hearing loud shattering noises coming from the men’s restroom. The witness observed four teenagers leaving the facility moments later.
Upon inspection, officers discovered severe damage, including broken sinks, toilets, and urinals. Security footage captured the teens arriving on bicycles, entering the restroom, and leaving within minutes.
Through investigative efforts, authorities identified the suspects, who are between the ages of 14 and 16. Given the extent of the damage, the charges filed against them include felony criminal mischief, as Florida law classifies vandalism exceeding $1,000 in damages as a third-degree felony.
The case remains under investigation as officials determine the full impact of the vandalism.
