Free Autism Screening Event for Young Children Scheduled in Bradenton Tomorrow
Families in the Bradenton area will have an opportunity to access free autism screenings for young children during a special event scheduled for Thursday, March 5.
The screenings will take place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at APC Pediatrics on Rye Road and are available for children from birth through age five. The event is designed to help families identify possible developmental concerns early and connect with support services when needed.
The screenings are supported through a partnership with Easterseals Southwest Florida and the Florida Department of Health. The initiative aims to increase early detection of autism spectrum disorder and other developmental differences so children can receive appropriate services and interventions as soon as possible.
Parents and caregivers are encouraged to register online in advance or attend as walk-ins during the event hours. Families attending the screening are asked to bring proof of residency, such as an identification card or utility bill.
Following the screenings, families will have access to additional resources, including case management support, educational materials, and information about community services.
Early identification of developmental concerns can play a critical role in helping children access therapies, educational supports, and other programs that promote long-term success. Community events like this one provide families with convenient access to screenings and guidance during the early years of a child’s development.
