Free Autism Screenings Offered for Children Ages Birth to 5
Easterseals Southwest Florida is offering two free autism screening events this February to support early identification and access to services for young children in the community. The screenings are available at no cost to children from birth through age 5 and are designed to help families better understand developmental milestones in the early years.
The first screening will take place on Monday, February 16, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Easterseals Ranch. A second screening is scheduled for Monday, February 23, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Easterseals main campus. Families may choose the date and location that best fits their schedule.
Early autism screening plays a critical role in identifying developmental differences at a young age, allowing children to access support services sooner. Following each screening, families will receive information about available resources, education, and case management support to help guide next steps, if needed.
The screenings are funded by the Florida Department of Health. Proof of residency, such as a government-issued ID or a utility bill, is required. Advance registration is encouraged and can be completed online at https://tinyurl.com/dhmdfzs7.
