Free Autism Screenings Offered in Sarasota to Support Early Identification
Easterseals Southwest Florida will host free autism screenings for the community on Monday, January 26, from 4 to 7 p.m. at its Sarasota location, providing families with an opportunity to access early developmental support at no cost.
The screenings will take place at 350 Braden Ave., Sarasota, FL 34243, and are funded by the Florida Department of Health, in partnership with Easterseals Southwest Florida. Proof of residency, such as an ID or utility bill, is required to participate.
Organizers emphasize that early identification of autism spectrum disorders can play a critical role in connecting children and families to timely services, therapies, and educational resources. Following each screening, families will be offered case management assistance, resource referrals, and educational information to help guide next steps.
Pre-registration is encouraged and can be completed online at https://easterseals-swfl.webauthor.com/.../default.cfm. Families may also register by scanning the QR code included on event materials.
The event reflects ongoing efforts by local health and nonprofit partners to expand access to early screening and developmental services, helping children reach their fullest potential while supporting families across the community
