Free Legal Help for Veterans Now Available Twice Monthly in Manatee County
Manatee County is expanding its commitment to supporting veterans by partnering with Bay Area Legal Services to offer free, walk-in legal clinics through the Veterans’ Medical-Legal Partnership (MLP) program. These clinics are available on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Manatee County Veterans Services office, located at 1401 3rd Ave W in Bradenton.
Staffed by attorneys from Bay Pines, the clinics assist income-qualified veterans facing a range of civil legal issues, including housing, family law, veterans’ benefits, consumer protection, and other related matters. Walk-ins are welcome, and veterans are encouraged to come in for help, guidance, or referrals—even if they’re unsure whether they qualify for full legal services.
For veterans who are unable to attend in person, virtual and telephone intakes are also available. Eligible individuals can schedule a remote consultation by calling the Bay Area Legal Services St. Petersburg Office at (727) 398-9592.
This initiative is part of a broader network of MLP clinics across the region, including regular sessions in Bay Pines, Sarasota, and other locations, each designed to make legal help more accessible for those who served.
