Free Weekly Virtual R.I.S.E. Recovery Support Group Offers Peer Connection and Encouragement
Individuals navigating addiction recovery have a free opportunity each week to connect with others who understand the journey through R.I.S.E., a peer-led virtual support group designed to provide encouragement, understanding, and hope.
The weekly meetings are open to anyone in recovery, whether they are beginning their journey, returning after a setback, or continuing one day at a time. The program emphasizes the values behind the R.I.S.E. acronym: Restoration, Integrity, Strength, and Empowerment.
Meetings are held every Wednesday at 6 p.m. via Zoom, with participants welcome to keep their cameras off if they prefer. Organizers describe the group as a supportive, judgment-free space where attendees can have honest conversations, build connections, and receive encouragement from peers with shared experiences.
The support group is hosted in partnership with NAMI Sarasota and Manatee Counties and is free to attend.
Those interested can join the meeting using Zoom Meeting ID 859 7506 2922 and Passcode 846132, or access the meeting directly at: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85975062922.
