According to Florida TaxWatch’s recent report, More Than A Store, Goodwill organizations across Florida generated a significant economic impact of $1.2 billion in 2023. Locally, Goodwill Manasota played a major role in this achievement, contributing $102.6 million in economic output across Sarasota, Manatee, Hardee, and DeSoto counties.
The report highlights the organization’s positive influence on the regional economy and environment. In 2023, Goodwill Manasota supported 1,671 jobs, provided job placements that resulted in $16.5 million in wages, and helped divert 50.6 million pounds of goods from landfills, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and workforce development.
