Historic Bridge Street Kicks Off AMI South End Event Series with 250 Years of America Celebration
Historic Bridge Street came alive Saturday with patriotic spirit as residents and visitors gathered for the 250 Years of America Celebration, a community event that transformed the popular district into a vibrant destination filled with local vendors, live entertainment and family-friendly activities.
Designed to promote a walkable, community-focused experience, the celebration encouraged attendees to explore Historic Bridge Street while shopping at locally owned businesses, dining at area restaurants and supporting the south end of Anna Maria Island.
Families enjoyed a dedicated Kids Zone featuring face painting, photos with Beach Santa and Mrs. Claus, and performances by Imagine Circus, providing entertainment for visitors of all ages throughout the day.
The event also marked the launch of AMI South End, a new initiative created by the Bradenton Beach Merchants Association to celebrate the businesses, people and unique character of Anna Maria Island’s south end through a series of community events held throughout the year.
Following the successful kickoff celebration, the organization is planning additional events, including Endless Summer Afterglow on Sept. 12 and a family-friendly Halloween celebration on Oct. 31, continuing its mission to bring the community together while supporting local businesses.
