Holmes Beach Publix Sells Winning $6.25 Million Florida Lotto Ticket
There was no jackpot winner in Saturday’s Powerball drawing, but one lucky ticket sold at a Publix in Holmes Beach turned out to be a major winner in the Florida Lotto.
The $6.25 million winning ticket was purchased at the Publix located at 3900 East Bay Drive. The winning numbers were 5, 9, 22, 30, 32, and 50, with the Double Play numbers listed as 11, 18, 21, 46, 50, and 53.
As of Sunday, the prize has not yet been claimed, leaving the identity of Tampa Bay’s newest millionaire unknown. Once claimed, the winnings will be subject to standard federal tax withholdings and state guidelines.
According to the Florida Lottery, the odds of winning the Florida Lotto jackpot are about 1 in 22 million. The next Florida Lotto drawing is scheduled for Wednesday, October 29, with an estimated $1 million prize.
In other lottery news, the next Mega Millions drawing will take place on Tuesday, October 28, with an estimated $714 million jackpot, while the Powerball jackpot stands at $358 million for Monday, October 27.
