Hurricane Gabrielle Poses No Threat; Manatee County Continues to Monitor Developing Systems
County resources to keep you informed
Manatee County officials are keeping a close eye on activity in the Atlantic as hurricane season progresses. Hurricane Gabrielle is forecast to remain over open waters, posing no threat to the United States.
Behind Gabrielle, a tropical disturbance highlighted in orange has a 10% chance of development within the next 48 hours. A second system, marked in red, carries a 20% chance of formation within 48 hours and a 70% chance within the next seven days. While neither system currently poses a risk to Manatee County, officials stress the importance of staying alert during peak hurricane season.
The Manatee County Public Safety Department provides residents with real-time updates and preparedness information through multiple platforms. Residents can download the Manatee 311 app for storm alerts, evacuation details, and preparedness tips.
