Increased Reward Announced in Yolanda Flores Shooting Investigation
Authorities have raised the reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the tragic shooting that claimed the life of Yolanda Baxcajay-Flores, 43, on November 12. The Gold Star Club of Manatee County has increased the reward to $8,000.
The incident occurred on Tuesday evening when an unidentified individual or group opened fire multiple times in two separate locations. Around 6:00 p.m., over ten rounds were discharged in the 2400 block of 8th Avenue East, causing property damage to homes and vehicles. Later, at approximately 7:30 p.m., more than 30 rounds were fired in the 2100 block of 15th Avenue East. Yolanda Flores, returning from a trip to the store, was fatally struck in the crossfire.
Manatee County detectives are actively investigating and urging anyone with information to come forward. Tips must be submitted to Crime Stoppers at manateecrimestoppers.com to be eligible for the reward. Anonymity is guaranteed.
