Kemp Schuessler Appointed to Bradenton City Council, Filling Ward 3 Seat
The Bradenton City Council has appointed Kemp Schuessler to represent Ward 3, filling the seat left vacant after former Councilman Josh Cramer was sworn in as the city’s new Chief of Police earlier this month.
Schuessler, a longtime resident of the Wares Creek neighborhood, brings over three decades of experience in the financial services industry to his new role on the council. During Tuesday’s regular meeting, council members unanimously supported his nomination, citing his leadership background and deep roots in the community.
Schuessler expressed a strong commitment to advancing policies that improve neighborhood livability and enhance the quality of life for Bradenton residents. His appointment reflects a continued emphasis on practical, forward-looking governance within the city.
Mayor Gene Brown thanked all applicants who expressed interest in the position, noting the impressive civic engagement from Ward 3 residents. He encouraged ongoing participation in city advisory boards and volunteer initiatives as part of Bradenton’s growing community involvement.
Schuessler will begin serving immediately as the Ward 3 representative.
