Kids Fishing Tournament Adds Evening Schedule and Fireworks Finale for 19th Annual Fire Charity Event
Organizers of the annual Fire Charity Kids Fishing Tournament have announced an exciting change for this year’s event, introducing a new late afternoon and evening schedule designed to make the experience even more enjoyable for young anglers and their families.
The popular youth fishing competition, part of the 19th Annual Fire Charity Fishing Tournament set for June 13–14, 2026, will move away from its traditional early morning start time for the kids division. Instead, the tournament will take place later in the day, giving families more flexibility in the morning while maintaining the same amount of fishing time for participants.
The updated format keeps the core of the event unchanged, allowing young anglers to enjoy the same fishing opportunities and friendly competition that have made the tournament a community favorite. The biggest addition comes at the end of the day, when organizers plan to celebrate the participants with a fireworks show following the tournament.
The new schedule is expected to create a more festive atmosphere along the docks, with families gathering to cheer on the young fishermen and enjoy the evening celebration together.
The Fire Charity Fishing Tournament features multiple divisions, including offshore, nearshore, inshore open, inshore amateur, kayak, and junior categories. The kids’ tournament has long been a highlight of the event, giving young anglers the chance to experience competitive fishing in a fun and supportive environment.
Registration details and full event information for the youth tournament are expected to be released soon as organizers prepare for what they anticipate will be one of the most memorable years for the Fire Charity event. Families can expect an afternoon of fishing, community spirit, and a fireworks-filled finale celebrating the next generation of anglers.
