Lakewood Ranch Grad Samuel Jackson Signs with New York Jets

Former Lakewood Ranch High School standout Samuel Jackson is officially headed to the NFL. The New York Jets have signed the 2017 graduate, adding the talented lineman to their roster following an impressive journey through college and professional spring football.

Jackson, who began his football career as a Mustang in Manatee County, continued to build his skills at the University of Central Florida, where he played for the Knights. Most recently, he competed with Houston’s team in the United Football League (UFL), where he earned recognition for his strength and consistency on the offensive line.

The School District of Manatee County and the Lakewood Ranch community are celebrating Jackson’s achievement as a testament to local talent and perseverance.
