The Lakewood Ranch Library will temporarily close its building beginning Sunday, October 18, as preparations continue for the opening of its second floor. The expansion will provide additional community resources, study spaces, and adult collection materials.
The library will close early at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 17, before shutting down indoor services from Sunday, October 18, through Wednesday, October 21.
During the closure, the library’s drive-through service will remain available from its regular opening time until 6 p.m. Early voting, which begins Monday, October 19, will also continue as scheduled.
The library is expected to reopen on Thursday, October 22, with modified services. Some indoor areas and services may remain limited while preparations continue, but staff will be available to assist visitors.
The temporary closure is part of the library’s efforts to expand services and improve access to educational and community resources for Lakewood Ranch residents.
