Lakewood Ranch YMCA to Host Free Healthy Kids Day Event April 18
Families across Manatee and Sarasota counties will have an opportunity to celebrate health, activity and community during the upcoming Healthy Kids Day at the Lakewood Ranch YMCA.
The free community event will take place on April 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lakewood Ranch YMCA, located at 5100 Lakewood Ranch Boulevard in Bradenton. The event is designed to encourage children and families to stay active, healthy and engaged while connecting with local organizations and community resources.
Healthy Kids Day is a nationwide YMCA initiative that promotes healthy lifestyles for youth and families through fun activities, games and educational opportunities. The Lakewood Ranch event will feature a variety of kid-friendly activities, community exhibitors and opportunities for families to learn about programs that support youth development and wellness.
Local organizations are invited to participate as exhibitors and are encouraged to bring interactive activities for children to enjoy at their tables. Exhibitors may begin setting up between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m., and tables are assigned on a first-come basis.
Organizers are also collecting raffle items to enhance the event experience and raise awareness for YMCA initiatives that benefit local youth and families. For-profit organizations that participate are asked to contribute a $100 donation to support the YMCA’s annual campaign, which helps fund programs and services throughout the community.
Healthy Kids Day aims to inspire children to stay physically active, build healthy habits and discover new opportunities in their community, while giving families a fun and engaging way to spend time together. The event is open to the public and free for all to attend.
