Lane Closures Set to Begin Wednesday at Honore Avenue and Old Farm Road for Roundabout Construction
Starting this Wednesday, September 25, Manatee County will initiate lane closures at the intersection of Honore Avenue and Old Farm Road, where a new roundabout is being constructed to replace the current four-way stop. The closures, expected to last until mid-April 2025, will be controlled by alternating portable traffic signals.
Traffic on Honore Avenue, both eastbound and westbound, will be reduced to a single lane. Drivers will need to wait for signals to alternate the flow of traffic. Meanwhile, north and southbound traffic on Old Farm Road will continue in both directions, but will be shifted to the same side of the road and coordinated with the signals on Honore Avenue.
Motorists should expect delays and plan for extended travel time through this area while the construction progresses. After mid-April, a new phase of traffic pattern adjustments will be introduced to continue the work on the roundabout.
