LIT7s to Bring International Rugby Tournament to Bradenton This November
Headline:
Bradenton will host a major international sporting event this fall as the LIT Florida International 7s tournament makes its U.S. debut on Saturday, November 29, at the Premier Sports Campus.
The tournament, part of Europe’s largest and most dynamic rugby sevens series, marks LIT7s’ first-ever event in the United States. The competition will feature men’s and women’s adult teams across multiple divisions — Elite, Open, and Social — as well as Under-18 matches, drawing players and teams from across the nation and abroad.
Organizers say fans can expect a full-day festival atmosphere complete with food, music, and entertainment, reflecting the event’s popular European format. Teams slated to compete include Gorilla, Alliance, Chicago North Shore Women, Phoenix, LIT USA 7s, Bitzbirds, Loons Rugby Academy, and Red Top Lions, among others. Players without teams will have the option to sign up individually, with LIT7s assisting in placements.
The event follows the success of LIT7s’ U.S.-based rugby camps, which have featured Olympians such as Perry Baker, Naya Tapper, Carlin Isles, and Kelly Griffin. The tournament also comes as rugby gains growing attention in the United States ahead of the LA 2028 Olympics.
