Man Drowns in Pool at Bradenton Apartment Complex During Early Morning Gathering

A man died early Monday after being found unresponsive at the bottom of a swimming pool at a Bradenton-area apartment complex, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. at Fountain Lakes Apartments, located just south of Bradenton. Authorities say approximately 25 people were in the pool area at the time of the incident.

According to investigators, the man was swimming with the group when someone noticed him submerged and unresponsive. Bystanders pulled him from the water and attempted CPR until deputies and paramedics arrived on the scene. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead shortly after 2 a.m.

The sheriff's office stated that the preliminary investigation indicates the drowning was accidental. No signs of foul play have been identified.

Details about the victim, including his name and age, have not yet been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
