Manatee Clerk Expands Child Support Services Through New Goodwill Manasota Partnership
The Manatee Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller is expanding access to its Child Support Program through a new partnership with Goodwill Manasota, bringing services directly into the community.
As part of the initiative, Child Support Program staff will be available quarterly at Goodwill Manasota’s Community Resource Center, located at 2705 51st Ave. E. in Bradenton. The outreach is designed to make services more accessible by assisting residents closer to where they live and work, eliminating the need to travel to the downtown office.
Staff will provide support for both new clients seeking information about child support and existing clients who need help managing active cases. Services will be offered on the first Wednesday of select months from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with upcoming dates scheduled for July 1 and Oct. 7.
The Child Support Program establishes and administers court-ordered paternity and child support for families in Manatee County and surrounding areas, ensuring children receive the financial support required under Florida law. The program has long prioritized community-based outreach, maintaining a partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County since 2017 to deliver services directly within neighborhoods.
The collaboration with Goodwill Manasota builds on that model, extending services to a broader segment of the community through a trusted local resource hub focused on employment and support services. Goodwill’s Community Resource Centers aim to help individuals overcome barriers to employment by providing training, resources, and connections to community partners.
No appointment is required for the outreach events. Residents can access assistance by visiting during scheduled hours. Additional information about the Child Support Program is available at ManateeClerk.com or by calling 941-749-1800.
The Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller serves multiple roles established by the Florida Constitution, including Clerk of Courts, Auditor, Recorder, and Custodian of County Funds. In Manatee County, the office also administers programs such as violence protection advocacy, Manatee Teen Court, and historical resource preservation, in addition to child support enforcement services.
